Mary was born in Melbourne in 1950, and currently lives and works in regional Victoria. Her work has been featured in The Age, Meanjin, Nation Review, The Lifted Brow, Overland, Heat Magazine, AWU Magazine, Time, Der Rabe, The Meatworkers Journal, Victorian Aids Council and Melbourne Fringe Festival. She has had several books of her drawings published through Penguin and Brow Books, including There’s No Place Like Home (1982), A Piece Of Cake (1986), One Big Happy Family (1992), Black White and Grey (1993) and One Good Turn (2018). Mary is a founding member of the Victorian Trades Hall Artists Studio.
